2016 Washington University Department of Pediatrics Annual Research Retreat
We are pleased to announce the 2016 Washington University Department of Pediatrics Annual Research Retreat, which will take place on Friday, April 8, 2016 at the River Camp Facility in the St. Louis Zoo in Forest Park. Most elective and out-patient clinical activities will be suspended for that day, and all faculty and fellows in the Department (with the exception of division-selected core care providers) are expected to attend and participate.
The 2016 Retreat Keynote Speaker is Louis J. Muglia, MD, PhD, Professor at the University of Cincinnati, as well as Co-Director of their Perinatal Institute, and Director of their Center for Prevention of Preterm Birth. Dr. Muglia’s work has pioneered the in vivo analysis of regulation of the endocrine stress response and the molecular pathways leading to birth using novel genetically altered mutant mice.
Once again the Retreat Program will feature a very popular forum in which senior Department of Pediatrics trainees present their academic work during a poster session. Abstracts will be reviewed by the Retreat Planning Committee, and senior fellows will be invited to give oral or poster presentations during the Retreat’s scientific sessions.
With your support, we look forward to another exciting Retreat!
On behalf of the 2015-16 Department of Pediatrics Research Retreat Planning Committee,
2015-16 Pediatrics Research Retreat Planning Committee:
